Trash, sanding, and snow clearing
The trash bins at the cabin are emptied at one of the waste stations, see map. For residents in Fjällfoten and Fjällbäcken, see the separate map in the cabin binder or area map.
The roads are sanded by contractors. If a lot of snow falls, the roads are plowed as needed. The main roads are always plowed first.
As a guest, you are responsible for snow clearing and anti-slip measures in connection with the accommodation throughout your stay. Sandboxes are available and marked on the cabin village map.
What can be flushed down the drain?
The answer to the question is simple. You may only flush down things that come from the body, as well as toilet paper, body cleansing products, and regular dishwashing, cleaning, and laundry detergents. Everything else causes problems.
-
WC - only toilet paper, things that come from the body, and water are flushed down.
-
Washbasin, shower, and sink - only water/soap may flow down
Avoid grease in the drain in accordance with Swedish law.

Together for sustainable electricity use!
The accommodation you are renting is owned by a private individual, and we appreciate it if you can be mindful of how you use electricity in the cabin. Small measures can make a big difference. Thank you for helping us think about both the environment and costs.
The sauna is an energy thief, so use it wisely!
Heat the sauna to 70–80 degrees. Heating it to 100 degrees increases electricity consumption by 20–30%.
Use the sauna as soon as it gets warm and turn off the heater as soon as you are done. The sauna will dry out from the residual heat.
Reduce ventilation; open the vent door only when you are done. Better to use the sauna a little longer each time, but not as often - more than half of the energy is used for heating.
