Accommodation Guide Idre Himmelfjäll

All of our accommodations at Idre Himmelfjäll are self-catering, which means you take care of cooking and the practical arrangements during your stay. Here you will find information about what is available in the accommodation and tips on things that may be good to pack.

Check-in and Check-out

Upon Arrival

When your accommodation is ready for check-in, an SMS with check-in information will be sent to the mobile number you provided at the time of booking.

If you arrive during reception opening hours, you check in at the reception. If you arrive when reception is closed, you pick up your arrival envelope with key in the arrival box outside the main building.

The main building is located at the northern entrance. Here you will find the reception and the restaurant Renen & Älgen.

If you arrive after 10:00 PM, you need to notify the reception in advance.

Upon Departure

Check-out takes place at the reception at the northern entrance.

10:00 AM – for those who have booked departure cleaning

11:00 AM – for those who clean themselves

If you leave before the reception has opened, leave the keys and departure report in the mailbox on the wall by the arrival box.

If you clean yourself, there is a checklist with cleaning instructions.

Optional Extras

Bed linen, towels, a crib, a high chair, and end-of-stay cleaning are not included in the base price, but can be booked as extras. Pet fees, lift passes, equipment, and ski school can also be booked for an additional cost.

Extra products and add-ons are booked by logging in to My Pages no later than 3 days before arrival and must be paid for before arrival.

  • Departure cleaning

    You empty and throw away all trash, empty bottles, and any ashes from the stove. Glasses and china are washed and put back into the cabinets.
    Rented linen sets are folded and placed inside the front door; we take care of the rest.

  • Bed Linen Set

    Set with sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase, one large towel and one small towel. Standard size fitted sheet suitable for a single bed 90 cm
    Note! (double sheets are not available).

  • Children's bed excl. blanket, pillow, and mattress

    Delivered to the accommodation on the day of arrival.
    The children's bed is a folding travel bed, approximate dimensions 60-115 cm.
    Please note! Mattress, blanket, pillow, or bed linen is not included.

  • Firewood

    For accommodations that have a fireplace, you can buy firewood. Delivered to the accommodation on the arrival day. Left on the porch or in the ski storage room.

  • Kids chair

    Delivered to the accommodation on the day of arrival.

  • Pet surcharge

    Pets are not allowed on beds or sofas. Any damage caused by the pet will be charged. Max 3 pets/accommodation.

Practical Things for the Accommodation

The accommodation at Idre Himmelfjäll is self-catering, which means that certain things are not included in the accommodation. You need to bring your own:

  • Bed linens & towels (these can be booked as an add-on) 

  • Toilet paper (one roll is included)

  • Spices

  • Soap 

  • Dishwasher tablet

  • Detergent (some accommodations are equipped with a washing machine)

General Rules

  • No more people than the number of beds specified in the cabin/apartment may stay overnight.

  • Between 22:00 and 07:00, peace and quiet apply in the area; please respect and show consideration to your neighbors.

  • Pets must be kept on a leash within the Idre Himmelfjäll area and may only accompany guests in homes that allow them for a fee; violations will incur a fee from SEK 3,000.

  • In cabins and apartments that allow pets, it is not permitted for the pet to be on beds or sofas.

  • Do not leave any trash on the doorstep, as birds and other animals can quickly spread the waste.

  • Smoking is prohibited. This applies to all accommodations. In case of violation, a cleaning fee from SEK 3,000 will be charged.

  • Cleaning supplies and dishwashing liquid are provided in the accommodation; if they are missing, contact cabin service.

  • Fires may only be lit at designated places in the area. Disposable grills are prohibited throughout the entire area.

  • It is not permitted to park at the house before or after check-in time on arrival/departure day. Please use the public parking areas.

  • For apartment accommodations, one parking space per accommodation is included; additional cars should be parked in our public parking areas. Please note that the parking area by reception/the restaurant Renen & Älgen is for short-term parking only. See the cabin village map for the nearest parking.

  • Please note that our smoke-free and pet-free accommodations are not allergy-sanitized.

  • If you have booked accommodation with Wi-Fi, it is provided free of charge. In the event of Wi-Fi disruptions, no compensation will be provided.

  • EV chargers are available for certain accommodations and will then be listed on your confirmation under accommodation information. Billing information for the EV charger is available in each cabin/apartment.

  • There are 32 public EV chargers at Idre Himmelfjäll; see the cabin village map for the nearest charging station. Please note that it is not permitted to charge electric or hybrid cars in regular power outlets. In the event of EV charger disruptions, no compensation will be provided.
