The Mountain Loop – 17 km cross-country ski trail

One of the most popular trails is “The Mountain Loop”, an approximately 17-kilometer-long cross-country ski trail that winds around Idre Himmelfjäll. The trail passes through varied terrain and offers both beautiful views and sheltered sections in the forest.

Part of the trail is also lit by floodlights (approximately 4 km), making it possible to cross-country ski even in the evening.

Mountain trail at Idre Himmelfjäll

At the top of Himmelfjäll, you’ll find a unique mountain trail that winds its way across the mountain. Here you are greeted by expansive views, crisp mountain air, and a tranquility that is hard to find anywhere else.

It is a place for relaxation and nature experiences — whether you want to take a peaceful ride or get your heart rate up a little extra.

Track Pass Idre Himmelfjäll

With a track pass for Idre Himmelfjäll, you get access to the groomed cross-country trails around Himmelfjäll in beautiful mountain surroundings.

The most popular trail is “Fjället runt”, a cross-country trail of about 17 km that goes around all of Idre Himmelfjäll. The trail is about 4 km lit by floodlights and is suitable for both classic skiing and skate skiing.

At the top of Himmelfjäll, there are also two mountain trails with fantastic views:
