Booking accommodation

Current prices are always available on Idre Himmelfjäll's website. All prices are stated in Swedish kronor.

The base price includes rental of a cottage or apartment, electricity, water, and beds with duvets and pillows.

Variations in layout and interior design may occur. Bedrooms without windows may occur. Guests are responsible for shoveling snow from any balconies and patios.

Booked accommodation may not be used for anything other than holiday accommodation unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.

The number of people in the accommodation may not exceed the number of beds. An extra bed means a sofa bed or a place in a family bunk bed, i.e. an extra-wide lower bunk in a bunk bed.

In most cottages and apartments at Idre Himmelfjäll, TV is streamed via the internet. Terrestrial channels are not available. If the accommodation has mobile broadband, disruptions to Wi-Fi and TV connection may occur during periods of high traffic.

No child or extra-bed discounts are given on cottage and apartment prices.

Idre Himmelfjäll reserves the right to change to equivalent accommodation or upgrade the accommodation up until the day of arrival without prior notice.

Different discounts and offers cannot be combined.

The accommodation may be occupied from 4:30 p.m. on the day of arrival until 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. Delays may occur due to unforeseen events.

Maps, drawings, and distances only provide an approximate picture of location and space.

Smoke-free and pet-free accommodations are not allergy-adapted.

The stated living area refers to the outer dimensions of the cottage or apartment.

Additional orders

The base price does not include bed linen, towels, crib, high chair, or departure cleaning. These can be booked as add-ons according to the current price list.

Pet fees, ski passes, equipment rental, and ski school can also be booked as add-ons.

Dishwasher tablets are normally not included, but there may be some left over from the previous guest. Cleaning supplies and a roll of toilet paper are included upon arrival.

Extra products and arrangements

Pre-booking of a crib, high chair, equipment, firewood, and bed linen can be made up to 3 days before arrival, subject to availability.

All pre-booked extra products and arrangements must be paid for before arrival.

Departure cleaning is booked subject to availability.

Package tours

When booking a package tour arranged by Idre Himmelfjäll, you cannot cancel or change individual parts of the package separately.

Special rules apply to cancellation of a package tour according to the cancellation section.

For group and conference arrangements where meals and/or activities are included, Visita's general terms and conditions apply.

Unspecified bookings

An unspecified booking means that the accommodation is assigned at check-in.

The accommodation is adapted to the number of people stated at the time of booking. For bookings for more than 8 people, the beds may be distributed across several accommodations. Extra beds may be available.

The accommodation includes a toilet, shower, TV, and cooking facilities.

If you have specific requests regarding the accommodation or location, we recommend that you book specified accommodation.

When does the booking become binding?

The booking becomes binding immediately at the time of booking.

Klarna takes over the entire payment, and you then undertake to pay according to the agreement you have with Klarna.

Idre Himmelfjäll sends you an automatic confirmation. It may state that the amount remaining to be paid is SEK 0, since the document is only a confirmation. The actual invoice comes from Klarna.

Idre Himmelfjäll does not send a separate confirmation that payment has been received.

Payment

Idre Himmelfjäll has transferred invoicing to Klarna.

Payment is made via Klarna directly at the time of booking. You can then choose to pay the full amount immediately or split the payment, depending on which payment options Klarna offers you.

To gain access to the booked accommodation, 100 percent of the total booking amount must be paid.

When paying from abroad, you are responsible for any fees in both your home country and Sweden. Idre Himmelfjäll must receive the full agreed amount in Swedish kronor according to the booking confirmation.

For payment from a country other than Sweden, only direct card payment via Klarna applies.

Change of booking

Changing a lodging booking is only permitted if you have purchased cancellation protection.

Changes can be made up to 40 days before arrival for a rebooking fee of SEK 1,000.

Changes to lodging bookings are subject to availability and may involve changing to another accommodation for the same number of days and during the same season.

The booking can also be changed to another person free of charge.

For changes to additional bookings, the rules under the cancellation section apply.

Cancellation protection

You can purchase cancellation protection that protects you in the event of a possible cancellation.

Cancellation protection costs SEK 400 per cabin or apartment.

For package tours, arrangements, and unspecified trips where the price per person applies, personal cancellation protection can be purchased for SEK 100 per person.

Cancellation protection can only be purchased at the time of booking.

Cancellation protection applies in the event of:

  • death, illness, or accident affecting you, your spouse, cohabiting partner, family, or fellow traveler, subject to a medical certificate

  • summons to the armed forces or civil defense, subject to a copy of the authority’s decision

  • a serious event beyond your control that could not have been foreseen at the time of booking and that makes it unreasonable for you to be bound by the booking, for example extensive fire, flooding in the home, divorce, or termination of employment, but not notice of termination, subject to a certificate

Refund rules are found under the cancellation section.

Cancellation

Cancellation of accommodation is made by contacting Idre Himmelfjäll’s booking department via bokning@idrehimmelfjall.se or by phone 0253-402 00.

You are responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is received. When the cancellation has been received, a confirmation will be sent to you.

Only cancellations made by you as the guest are accepted.

When cancelling, the name, booking number, and booked arrival date must always be provided.

If the terms for cancellation protection are met, the following applies:

Cancellations can be made until 12:00 noon on the day before the arrival date.

When cancelling with 41 days or more remaining before arrival, Idre Himmelfjäll retains the cancellation protection fee as well as an administration fee of SEK 500 per cabin or apartment.

When cancelling with 40 days or fewer remaining before arrival, a medical certificate for someone in the party is also required in order for cancellation with a refund to be possible.

Idre Himmelfjäll then retains the cancellation protection fee and an administration fee of SEK 500. The remaining amount will be refunded.

For personal cancellation protection for package travel, Idre Himmelfjäll retains the cancellation protection fee as well as an administrative fee of 200 SEK per person.

If pre-ordered food, activities, ski school, or equipment is canceled or changed, a fee of 100 SEK per booked item will be charged.

Cancellation of extra items can be made up to 4 days before the start date. After that, the full price will be charged.

If cancellation protection has not been purchased for accommodation, Idre Himmelfjäll retains 100 percent of the amount. The guest is then referred to any personal travel insurance.

Cancellation after the stay has begun

If the stay is interrupted, the paid accommodation cost will not be refunded.

Picked-up equipment will only be bought back against a medical certificate. Only the remaining rental period will be compensated. Compensation applies from the day the medical certificate was issued and the equipment has been returned.

The medical certificate and equipment are submitted to the nearest rental location.

Equipment booked as part of a package travel can only be canceled according to the cancellation rules that apply to accommodation.

If ski school or an activity that has already started is canceled, the remaining time will be refunded against a medical certificate. This applies from the day the medical certificate was issued and Idre Himmelfjäll has been notified.

Ski and trail passes are only refunded against a medical certificate, and only unused ski time is compensated. This applies from the day the medical certificate was issued.

The medical certificate and ski and trail pass are submitted to the nearest point of sale.

Skipass booked as part of a package travel can only be canceled according to the cancellation rules that apply to accommodation.

If pre-ordered food is canceled later than 4 days before the start date, the full price will be charged.

Force majeure

Both you and Idre Himmelfjäll have the right to withdraw from the agreement if the accommodation cannot be provided due to acts of war, natural disasters, labor disputes, prolonged interruptions in water or energy supply, fire, or other similar major event that neither party could have foreseen or influenced.

In such cases, Idre Himmelfjäll shall refund the amount paid by the guest, less any used nights in a cottage or apartment and any used add-on products.

Complaints

If the accommodation is not in the agreed condition and Idre Himmelfjäll cannot remedy this or offer equivalent accommodation, you have the right to terminate the agreement.

If you have complaints about the accommodation, you must raise them as soon as possible, no later than 12:00 p.m. the day after arrival.

Any faults that arise during the stay must be reported immediately so that Idre Himmelfjäll has the opportunity to rectify them.

If you as a guest do not report faults and deficiencies to the on-site staff during the stay and Idre Himmelfjäll is not given the opportunity to correct what is wrong, you are not entitled to a price reduction or damages.

If you cannot reach an agreement, you may turn to Visita’s Liability Committee, the National Board for Consumer Disputes, or a general court.

General Ski Pass Rules

Lift system

Idre Himmelfjäll uses the Axess system. This means you keep your ski pass in your jacket pocket and pass the lift reader, which detects that you have a valid ski pass.

If you already have an Axess chip card, you can load it with ski days at Idre Himmelfjäll.

Chip card

The chip card is the electronic card onto which your ski time is loaded. When purchasing a new card, there is an additional cost for the chip card, but the card can then be reused.

The chip card should be kept in your jacket pocket, but not together with your mobile phone. The card cannot withstand heat from, for example, a drying cabinet, so remove it before drying your clothes.

The ski pass is personal

The ski pass is personal and may not be transferred to anyone else.

A ski pass that has already been used cannot be changed, exchanged, or upgraded.

When you pass the lift gate for the first time, the day begins and ends when the lift closes. If you start skiing in the afternoon, it is still counted as a full ski day when the lift closes for the evening.

Parent card

The parent card is the only ski pass that is not personal.

It is intended for parents with small children who want to take turns skiing. Both parents may use the card, but not at the same time.

Children up to 7 years old ski for free

Children up to 7 years old who wear a helmet ski for free on the lifts. No chip card is needed.

At each lift there is a separate entrance for the youngest children.

Discounted prices for youth and seniors

Youth between 8 and 15 years old and seniors from 65 years old receive discounted prices.

The discounted price is shown automatically when booking.

Pre-book your ski pass

If you pre-book your ski pass, you can pick it up in one of the facility's pickup boxes.

During ski pass promotions, the best price is always offered online, not over the counter.

Three days before your first ski day, you will receive a QR code by email that you scan in the pickup box to collect your ski pass.

The QR code is also available under My Pages on the Idre Himmelfjäll website, no earlier than three days before your first ski day.

Idre Pass

The best price for Idre Pass, which is valid in Idre Himmelfjäll, Fjätervålen, and Idre Fjäll, is available if you buy or load your ski pass at least 40 days before the start date.

The most favorable price for Idre Pass is always online compared with purchasing on site.

Loading an existing chip card

If you load an existing chip card, all you need to do is head straight out onto the slopes.

When loading your card, use the WTP number printed on the card, for example K98111A2-ASM-JMD. This is not the same as the card number.

If the numbers on the chip card are unclear, which can happen on older cards, loading can only be done on site at the reception or in the Ski Shop. Alternatively, you can buy a new chip card.

Extending a ski pass

If you have purchased a ski pass for 4 days or more, you can extend it by one extra day. You then only pay the difference between the ski pass you already have and one additional day.

This does not apply to 4 flexible days or package ski passes.

Extension can only be done once and must be done at the reception or in the Ski Shop before the lifts close on the last regular valid day.

Ski pass prices when runs are closed

The regular ski pass prices apply even if some runs are not skiable.

Idre Himmelfjäll is a member of SLAO and follows their guidelines for compensation in the event of limited availability.

Snow guarantee

Idre Himmelfjäll offers a snow guarantee from opening at Christmas until the end of the season, with at least 5 open runs.

Ski pass insurance

Ski pass insurance is included upon presentation of a receipt.

If you lose your ski pass, it will be blocked and the remaining time will be reimbursed. You must pay for a new chip card yourself.

In case of illness or accident

With a medical certificate, the remaining ski pass time is reimbursed from the date the medical certificate was issued.

Submit the medical certificate and ski pass to the nearest point of sale.

This does not apply to ski passes included in a package tour.

External activities

Some activities are booked through external operators and are subject to their own booking and cancellation terms.

This applies, for example, to snowmobile activities and dog sledding.

Always review the terms and conditions of the respective operator before booking.

Reservation

Idre Himmelfjäll reserves the right for changes in law, price changes, and any printing errors.
