Winter vacation in the mountains

The sports holiday is for skiing, fresh mountain air, and time together. At Idre Himmelfjäll, new slopes, winter-covered mountains, and accommodations close to the skiing await. And this year, you don’t need to book a whole week to experience it all.

During sports holiday weeks 8 and 9, you can choose between a full week, a short week Sunday–Thursday, or a weekend Thursday–Sunday. Perfect for those who want to take a long weekend on the slopes or spend a few extra days together in the mountains.

More mountain time. Less juggling

Every family has their own plans. Maybe you want to get away for a few extra days, fit your ski vacation in between work and school, or gather the family for a long weekend in the snow.

That’s why we’ve opened up for more stay periods during the sports break. You choose whether you want to stay the whole week or come up for a few wonderful days in the mountains.

Choose the period that suits you best:

• Weekend, Thursday–Sunday: Three nights 

• Short week, Sunday–Thursday: Four nights

• Full week: For those of you who want the mountain adventure to last throughout the entire sports break.

7 new slopes. A new 6-seat chairlift. Lots of new things to discover

This winter, our new ski area opens with seven new slopes and a modern 6-seat chairlift. More runs to explore, new views, and even more skiing to look forward to.

Is this the year the children learn to ski?

What if this becomes the winter break when the children take their first turns all on their own? By joining our ski school, they get to learn at their own pace, meet new ski friends, and discover the joy of skiing.

While the children develop on the slopes, you as parents get a little time to yourselves on skis. And when you meet again, there may be new skills to show off and stories to tell from the day. 

• Group ski school: Can only be booked for a full week (Mon-Fri). It is not possible to book individual days.

• Private lesson: Can be booked for any day, subject to availability.
